UPC BarcelonaTECH in Barcelona seeks a First Stage Researcher (R1) to conduct research under the project on energy-efficient GPU architectures. The role focuses on expanding GPU evaluation tools and characterizing architectures for performance and power metrics.

The successful candidate will design, model and evaluate new GPU architectures, document and publish results, joining a team at the DAC department. 23 h/week, temporary contract, starting 1 Nov 2026.

Formación

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering.
• Experience with GPU architectures and performance/power analysis.
• Knowledge of computer systems architectures and graphics GPU architectures.
• 1–4 years of research or equivalent experience in related fields.

Responsabilidades

• Expand and improve GPU evaluation tools.
• Characterize existing GPU architectures in terms of performance and power consumption.
• Design, model and evaluate new GPU architectures.
• Document, publish and present the results.
