Global Water Tech Project Leader

Job summary

Ecolab invites an experienced Project Manager to join the Global High Tech (GHT) team and lead complex water treatment projects for high-tech industries in Madrid.

From requirements definition through commissioning and start-up, you will manage scope, schedule and budget while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. You will build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, coordinate resources, monitor KPIs, and drive successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical/Civil/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in managing erection, construction, commissioning and start-up projects.
• Proven experience managing projects involving civil works.
• Experience reviewing and validating engineering documents for water treatment plants (P&ID, PFD, mass balance, piping drawings, isometrics, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, control narrative).
• Proven experience coordinating work groups and resources.
• Fluent written/spoken English and French.
• Awareness of safety, environmental legislation in Europe and CE certification requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality Assurance requirements.
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project or equivalent).
• Synthesis and pragmatic approach; agile mindset; strong problem solving and deadline/budget discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budgets, and implementation plans.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Monitor project status and revise scope/schedule/budget to meet requirements as needed.
• Establish and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
