Colt Technology Services seeks an experienced VAT Compliance Lead to own global VAT activities across Colt’s footprint. You’ll ensure governance, accuracy, and continuous improvement of indirect tax processes, acting as an SME for VAT matters and advising stakeholders.

You will manage relationships with external advisors and tax authorities, oversee filings, audits, and drive process improvements while coaching finance colleagues on VAT best practices.

Formación

• 4-7 years’ work experience handling European and UK VAT Compliance
• Experience in VAT Advisory
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Able to relate to multi-cultural European customers
• Willing to work cross-functionally and standardise processes
• Keen to take up extra responsibilities
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsabilidades

• Own relationships with external VAT advisors and provide strategic direction on compliance and process improvements
• Provide autonomous VAT advice to the business
• Lead delivery and governance of indirect tax compliance obligations, ensuring timely submission of returns and filings
• Review and approve VAT returns, reconciliations and deliverables prepared by teams and advisors
• Coordinate responses to audits, enquiries and investigations with tax authorities and external advisors
• Identify, assess and mitigate indirect tax risks and propose practical solutions
• Drive process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency, control and governance
• Establish and maintain VAT governance frameworks, controls and procedures
• Interpret legislative developments and implement required compliance changes
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to finance/tax colleagues on VAT policies
