Duracell in Barcelona is seeking a tax professional to join the Global Tax Compliance team. Based at Duracell GBS, you will handle VAT/GST and Intrastat compliance across jurisdictions and collaborate with functions and external service providers.

You will participate in day-to-day filings, support VAT/GST queries, and contribute to projects such as supply chain changes and IT system redesign. Strong English and SAP skills are required, with a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in VAT/GST compliance; advisory experience is a plus.
• Experience in an international/multinational company; Big 4 experience is an advantage.
• Excellent/fluent English – essential. Additional languages are a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong hands-on experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise live reporting obligation in entrusted jurisdictions.
• Observe filing deadlines and payment due dates.
• Perform reconciliations.
• Provide internal and external audit support.

• Assist with VAT/GST queries from business.
• Involvement in various projects impacting VAT/GST, such as changes in supply chain, IT system re-design and optimization, changes in legislation, emerging live reporting obligations.

Job Description

The tax professional joining Duracell will be part of the new Global Tax Compliance team within the Global Tax Team, based at Duracell GBS in Barcelona, Spain.

In this role, you will be responsible for VAT/GST and Intrastat compliance, ideally across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with different functions across the multinational organization, as well as with external service providers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

The role combines day‑to‑day tax compliance responsibilities with the opportunity to support VAT/GST‑related queries and projects, including changes in supply chain, IT system redesign and optimization, changes in legislation, and emerging live reporting obligations.

The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in VAT/GST and Intrastat compliance, together with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions and with external partners.
