Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Supplier Development Engineer focused on critical to quality categories such as gaskets, insulation materials and chemicals. This role can be based anywhere in Europe. You will lead supplier qualification, audits, and improvement actions to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness across the global supply base.

Formación

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Materials, Mechanical, Polymer or similar).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in supplier development and supplier quality management.
• Knowledge of chemicals, gaskets or insulation materials in transformer production.
• Experience with production process assessment.
• Proficiency with quality and continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, DMAIC, 8D, 5Why).
• Expertise in APQP/PPAP, P-FMEA, Process Control Plan, SPC, and inspection processes.
• Excellent communication for international collaboration.
• Willingness to travel internationally for supplier audits.

Responsabilidades

• Lead supplier qualification via SAP Ariba assessments and global on-site audits.
• Implement improvement actions after audits to raise quality and delivery performance.
• Oversee global parts approval to meet technical and operational requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive annual supplier evaluations.
• Develop action plans for performance recovery with suppliers.
• Lead root cause analyses to resolve escalated non-conformities.
• Drive continuous improvement in supplier management processes.
• Lead SCM tool improvement projects in Supplier Quality and Development.
• Project lead for single/sole source elimination in critical categories.
