Job summary

Ecolab Inc. is seeking an Associate Procurement Manager for its Procurement Centre of Excellence in Barcelona, Spain. The role focuses on designing and deploying sourcing strategies for main product categories at a global level, aiming to ensure supply at the best possible TCO.

The position reports to the Ovivo Commercial Project Manager and requires strong negotiation, SRM, and category management expertise in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Formal qualification in Sourcing, Procurement, and/or Negotiation is preferred.
• 8+ years of international sourcing and procurement experience, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or engineered-to-order environments.
• Strong expertise in procurement best practices, including Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, SRM, and Contract Management.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Adaptable and resilient professional, able to navigate dynamic environments and negotiate effectively across diverse situations and cultures.
• Collaborative team player with a results-driven mindset.
• Fluent English required; an additional European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acts as business owner for your categories autonomously defining and executing sourcing strategies.
• Defines and executes sourcing strategies to improve reliability, pricing, and lead times; negotiates with suppliers.
• Applies Total Delivered Cost (TDC) methodology from definition to implementation.
• Leads saving projects and collaborates across PM, Operations, Engineering and Business.
• Develops supply assurance, business continuity plans and risk assessments; communicates updates to stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field

Formal qualification in Sourcing, Procurement, and/or Negotiation

8+ years of international sourcing and procurement experience

Strong expertise in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, SRM, and Contract Management
