Flexport is hiring a Global Operations Associate in Spain (Barcelona). You will coordinate end-to-end shipments within a regional network, focusing on on-time performance and first-class customer experience.

The role requires a BA/BS or forwarding agent training, 2+ years in logistics, and fluency in Spanish and English. You will collaborate with carriers, vendors and internal teams to optimize processes, manage KPIs, and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Be the frontline in ensuring high Flexport quality: on‑time shipments, proactive handling of exceptions, clear client communication.
• Meet internal KPIs and SLAs, manage priorities independently.
• Follow SOPs and flag opportunities for process improvements.
• Resolve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination.
• Avoid leakages and maintain cost-conscious behavior for the company.
• Coordinate daily operations with carriers, vendors, customs and regional teams.
• Execute end-to-end shipment movements within the regional network, including intermodal moves.
• Support partner-led shipments to drive autonomy and parity with insourced ops.
• Leverage data and tools to identify patterns and drive efficiency improvements.

The opportunity:
The role of the Global Operations Associate is a critical part of making Flexport's mission to make global trade easy for everyone a reality. To achieve this the Global Operations Team is at the heart of delighting our customers, managing our partners and working closely with our technology partners to drive innovation through process automation. With our focus on developing a global network, our operational teams are strategically located across the world to manage and execute our services and products offered to our customers and partners. Flexport Global Operations raises the bar by using data to manage our customers' supply chains and identifies opportunities to improve fidelity in planning, responsiveness and overall execution.
As a Global Operations Associate, you are an expert in executing the end-to-end movement of shipments within a regional network.
On a day-to-day basis you will coordinate the supply chain operations with ocean activities within your region.
This role will focus on driving a first in class customer experience by obsessing over quality and on time performance. Lastly, this role will work very closely with peers and supervisors to problem solve.
Your responsibilities as a Global Operations Associate include, but are not limited to the following:

• Be the 'front line' in ensuring the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move on-time, exceptions are handled proactively, and clients receive a first-class experience through timely, clear communication.
• Be responsible for ensuring your work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery, independently managing your priorities and commitments.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and proactively flag opportunities for improvement.
• Solve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination, developing solutions independently and escalating to senior team members as needed
• Act in the best interest of the company by avoiding leakages and ensuring cost conscious behavior.
• Seamlessly coordinate day-to-day operations with the relevant internal and external partners for your team's scope (e.g. carriers, vendors, customs, regional trade lane management, cross-functional stakeholders, etc)
• Execute the end-to-end movement of freight shipments within a regional network (both imports and exports), including intermodal movements.
• Assist the shipments managed by partners as we drive partner autonomy and parity with insourced operations (if applicable in a given region).
• Use data and operational tools to inform decisions, identify patterns in your work, and contribute to efficiency improvements.
  

Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree or completed professional training as forwarding agent.
• 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics or freight forwarding
• Have a technology (and AI)first mindset and can thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Effective time management. Be able to properly prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively seek and receive feedback.
• Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
• Teamwork and relationship building.
• Orientation towards working smarter and adopting best practices and standardization.
• Problem-solving capabilities.
• A compliance first attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
• A client service mindset; you are obsessed with client satisfaction, and strive to investigate and troubleshoot the client’s problem.
• Language requirement: Mandatory Spanish and fluency in English.
