Job summary

Galderma in Barcelona, Spain, seeks a Global Master Data Expert to drive data governance and master data management across the organization. You will govern product master data, define data standards, and coordinate with owners to improve data quality and value of core data assets.

You will also develop training materials and lead change management for data-related initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills, ERP/MDM experience, and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3–5 years of solid experience in Master Data Management, Product Data Management, Data Governance, Supply Chain or related roles (e.g., MDM, SAP MDG, Data Quality management).
• Solid understanding of data models, data dictionaries and enterprise data architecture.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.), MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica) and familiarity with data governance frameworks.
• SQL knowledge for querying, validating, and analyzing data across systems.
• Experience with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with senior stakeholders (e.g., Global Teams, IT, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance).
• Proficiency in metadata management and data governance tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the data governance roadmap.
• Act as first-line support for Global Product Master Data, addressing data quality queries and issues.
• Collaborate with business and functional area owners to enhance data quality and value of core data assets.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date training materials; deliver training sessions as required.
• Contribute to communication strategies that promote company-wide awareness of proper data management practices.
• Define data standards and practices to ensure completeness, consistency and accuracy of data.
• Create and maintain a centralized enterprise data dictionary with definitions, business rules, and usage guidelines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to manage updates and communicate changes effectively.
• Provide guidance and training to teams using the data dictionary; be a point of contact for clarifications.
• Oversee testing of data changes to ensure accuracy and integrity before deployment.
• Develop clear communication plans for upcoming changes and timelines.
• Act as liaison between technical teams and business users during change implementation.
