Job summary

Sandoz is seeking an experienced Legal & Compliance Counsel to partner with the global Commercial and Transactions teams. The role focuses on strategic advice for M&A, alliances, and platform transactions across geographies, balancing risk and business priorities.

You will lead cross-border initiatives, draft complex agreements, and collaborate with internal and external counsel to enable sustainable growth in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• Law school graduate and Bar member.
• Fluent in English essential.
• At least 5 years as a legal advisor in top firms or in-house.
• Transactional experience in an international environment; M&A a plus.
• Experience advising global/regional commercial teams in pharma or regulated industries.
• Proven ability to lead cross-border, cross-functional workstreams.
• Strong drafting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the strategic legal partner for M&A, BD&L, and alliance management.
• Support global commercial platforms with lifecycle planning and launch activities.
• Provide end-to-end legal and compliance support for platform-related transactions.
• Lead global transactions independently, drafting and negotiating.
• Coordinate with internal and external counsel and stakeholders across regions.
• Identify material risks and propose pragmatic mitigations.
• Ensure coordination between Legal and business partners to drive consistency.
• Develop and roll out standardized template agreements and trainings.
