Vista Investments is seeking a GL Accountant to join our Madrid-based Finance & Accounting team. This hands-on role focuses on the general ledger, month-end close, intercompany activity, and close collaboration with our California office in an international environment.

We value 2–5 years of accounting experience, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and exposure to audits. Spanish GAAP knowledge with US GAAP exposure is beneficial.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in General Ledger, financial accounting, external audit or a similar role.
• External audit experience valued, especially Big Four or leading firm.
• Knowledge of Spanish GAAP (PGC); US GAAP exposure valued.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reclassifications and other closing adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain and review General Ledger accounts with supporting documentation.
• Support accounting for intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist with external audits, preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, FP&A and other Finance functions to ensure accurate accounting.
• Support the corporate Finance team in California with accounting information and reporting requirements.
• Participate in improvement and standardization of accounting processes, controls and procedures.
