Super is hiring a General Ledger Accountant – Western Europe in Spain for a 15-month fixed-term contract. You will own GL for key Western Europe entities, lead month-end close, and partner with auditors to ensure accurate reporting and strong controls.

You will drive process improvements, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with local GAAP and group standards. Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA professionals preferred; English proficiency required.

Formación

• Part-qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent progress toward qualification.
• Experience in an Accountant or Management Accountant role with ownership of legal entities or country ledgers.
• Strong experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Track record of implementing or improving financial processes and controls.
• Experience working with external auditors and third-party finance or accounting partners.
• Ability to prepare accurate reporting packs, schedules, and reconciliations to tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; proactive mindset.
• Confidence working independently while collaborating with finance teams.
• Good systems knowledge, including ERP or finance systems.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own general ledger accounting for the relevant entities and ensure accurate postings.
• Lead month-end close with journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting compliant with local GAAP and group standards.
• Work with external auditors to provide schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure complete and accurate accounting entries.
• Identify and embed improvements to accounting processes and controls.
