Lever, Inc. is seeking a General Counsel based in Spain to lead its global legal and compliance function.

This senior role reports to the COO and will shape governance and risk posture across EMEA and the Americas, building a distributed team and effective operating model for a rapidly growing technology business. You will manage commercial contracting, IP/open-source licensing, data protection, export controls, disputes, and corporate governance, partnering with product, engineering, finance,

• Law degree and active license to practice in an EMEA or Americas jurisdiction.
• Substantial senior in-house legal experience in global tech/software businesses.
• Experience leading distributed legal teams across regions and time zones.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, and manage high-performance legal teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the global Legal and Compliance function across EMEA and the Americas.
• Build a distributed leadership team and establish governance standards and operating model.
• Oversee corporate governance, policies, and internal controls in partnership with Finance.
• Advise senior executives and the Board on material legal, regulatory, and governance matters.
• Own commercial contracting framework and negotiation positions.
• Lead IP and open-source licensing strategy and related governance.
• Manage global compliance programs including data protection, export controls, and anti-bribery.
• Oversee litigation, disputes, and external counsel with budget oversight.
• Provide legal guidance on M&A, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
