EDP is seeking a quantitative analyst to develop and optimize short- and mid-term trading strategies for Global Energy Management in Iberia and Europe, leveraging data analytics to maximize revenue. You will partner with FP&A, Origination, and IT to deploy modeling tools and reporting for market results.

The role requires strong programming in Python/R/SQL, and experience with Power BI/Tableau. Fluency in English and Spanish is expected, with additional European languages a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with strong quantitative focus (Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering, Economics, Business, Data Science or Analytics).
• Postgraduate or specialization will be valued.
• Experience in power/energy markets, data handling and coding.
• Programming in Python, R, and SQL; data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Analytical skills, thoughtful communication, and presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with English and Spanish; other European language desired.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize middle & short-term trading strategies for GEM in Iberia and Europe.
• Advance planning and bidding strategies across DAM/IDM/XBID/markets.
• Analyze requirements from various departments and market regulations.
• Create market tools and simulations to support Front Office reporting.
• Coordinate Business Plan / Budget simulations with FP&A and other teams.
