EDP Europe seeks a Strategy & Business Expert to join their Madrid team. You will work on strategic projects across Europe, leading strategic options, market analyses, business cases and executive presentations for EDP Group’s C‑level leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Management, Economics, or Engineering and 4–6 years in consulting, corporate strategy, or energy sectors. Fluent Spanish and English is essential; Portuguese is a strong advantage.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Economics, Engineering or similar with strong academics.
• 4–6 years in consulting, corporate strategy, business development, energy, infrastructure, finance or project-based roles.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail; good problem-solving skills; ability to coordinate with senior stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead strategic and high-impact projects for the European region, including assessing options, scenarios and trade-offs and translating inputs into clear recommendations and action plans.
• Conduct market, financial, and competitive analyses to support strategic decision-making across Europe.
• Prepare business cases, strategic assessments and executive presentations for EDP Group’s C-level leadership.
• Act as a transformation engine for cross-functional initiatives and support regional and country teams on strategic requests.

EDP Europe is looking for a Strategy & Business Expert to join their team in Madrid.

Job Description:

You will have the opportunity to work on strategic and high impact projects for EDP across Europe:

• Strategic & Business Development Support
• Lead strategic projects for the European region: assess strategic options, scenarios and trade-offs, translating complex inputs into clear recommendations and action plans.
• Conduct market, financial, and competitive analyses to support strategic decision-making across Europe.
• Prepare business cases, strategic assessments and executive presentations for EDP Group’s C-level leadership.
• Cross-functional transformation
• Act as a transformation engine for cross-functional, high-impact initiatives, including key business challenges, operating model shifts and high-stake decision making;
• Act as a strategy & execution advisor to regional and country teams on operational and strategic requests, including profitability assurance, portfolio excellence, asset rotation, efficiency and pipeline monitoring.
• Contribute to emerging growth and value-creation topics such as BESS, hybridization, grid constraints, data centers, Agri-PV, electrification, market intelligence and GenAI-enabled ways of working.
• Monitor and challenge project pipelines across in-house developments, while supporting the assessment of M&A and co-development opportunities from a strategic and commercial perspective.

Who are we looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Economics, Engineering or similar, with a strong academic record.
• Preferably 4–6 years of working experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business development, energy, infrastructure, finance or project-based roles.
• Demonstrated track record of leading complex strategic or transformation workstreams, translating analysis into executive decisions.
• Fluent Spanish and English, spoken and written; Portuguese is a strong advantage
• Strong ownership, attention to detail; good problem-solving skills, critical and constructive thinking.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel capabilities; ability to use AI to improve productivity and quality of work.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
