Job summary

Qlik is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to oversee direct tax processes across EMEA and APAC. You will collaborate with Tax Manager to ensure compliance, provide guidance on filings, and support global tax initiatives.

Based in Madrid, the role offers interaction with multiple teams in a multinational environment and opportunities to drive automation and process improvements within tax operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of global direct tax experience (EMEA and APAC).
• Fluent understanding of direct tax and compliance issues.
• Working knowledge in direct tax audit processes.
• GAAP knowledge (local country GAAP and US GAAP) is an asset.
• Experience with tax technology and ERP systems (Avalara, NetSuite).
• Big Four experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review or assist with EMEA and APAC corporate tax returns prepared by external advisors.
• Perform research to ensure accuracy of tax filings.
• Oversee annual and quarterly worldwide US GAAP tax provision.
• Communicate with tax authorities regarding notices and inquiries.
• Manage EMEA and APAC direct tax payments and compliance calendars.
• Support audit procedures for GAAP financials in EMEA and APAC.
• Collaborate with accounting, revenue, and AP teams in SSC.
• Identify and implement process improvements for direct taxes.
