Job summary

Qlik seeks a Senior Tax Accountant to oversee EMEA and APAC direct tax processes, ensuring compliance and driving initiatives. You will work with Tax Manager and VP of Tax, manage tax filings and audits, and support Pillar II developments across regions including Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific.

You will interact with external advisors, cross-functional teams, and tax authorities to ensure timely, accurate filings and optimal tax planning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of global direct tax experience (EMEA and APAC)
• Fluent understanding of direct tax and compliance issues
• Experience with direct tax audit processes
• Knowledge of local country GAAP and US GAAP is an asset
• Experience with tax technology and ERP systems (Avalara, NetSuite)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Bachelor degree in accounting preferred
• Master degree in taxation preferred

Responsibilities

• Review EMEA and APAC corporate tax returns prepared by external advisors
• Conduct tax research to ensure accuracy of filings
• Assist with US GAAP tax provision
• Communicate with tax authorities in a timely manner
• Manage EMEA and APAC direct tax payments
• Support audit procedures in Shared Services Center
• Coordinate with accounting, revenue and AP teams
• Monitor Pillar II developments and translate into data requirements
• Assist in transfer pricing documentation and policy
• Support global direct tax strategy and initiatives
• Assist in tax planning initiatives and special projects
• Provide analysis of direct tax impacts of transactions
• Coordinate and support tax audit responses
• Keep up-to-date with tax developments and communicate changes
