Job summary

Amaris Consulting, part of Mantu, is seeking a Global Automation Enablement Lead in Spain to drive the global adoption of automation across multiple pharmaceutical plants. You will define standards, govern automation practices, and collaborate with site teams on concept to implementation.

The role requires strong PLC/SCADA and OT/IT integration experience, a track record in automation/digital transformation, and willingness to travel worldwide to support deployment and training.

Job description
Your missions
  • Drive the global adoption of automation solutions within the S4G (Smart Factory for the Future) and AIP (AI Program) initiatives across multiple plants.
  • Define and promote global standards, best practices, and governance for automation, ensuring alignment on how sites should work.
  • Lead and coordinate automation projects (PLC, SCADA, OT/IT integration) from concept to implementation, in collaboration with local site teams.
  • Act as the global point of contact for automation topics, supporting manufacturing sites in troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and internal quality standards in all automation-related activities.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and change management to support digital transformation and smart factory deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, IT, production, quality) to integrate automation into broader digital and AI initiatives.
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and resources, including worldwide travel to support implementation and standardization on site.
Your profile
  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience as Automation Lead for global plants in the pharmaceutical or highly regulated industrial sector.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA and OT/IT integration, as well as project management in automation/digital transformation.
  • Knowledge of English at C2 level; Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural team, travel worldwide, and adapt to a dynamic, global environment.
Nice to have
  • Previous experience in global standardization programs, smart factory initiatives, or AI-enabled manufacturing would be a plus.
