Job summary

Avanade is seeking a Generative AI Engineer to help clients transform their businesses using Generative AI, LLMs, and Azure-based AI platforms. You will design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications, working with client teams to translate business challenges into scalable AI solutions.

You will collaborate across disciplines, implement RAG architectures, and ensure governance, security, and reliability while staying current with evolving AI technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Generative AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience developing AI solutions using Python and modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, AI Search, and Cognitive Services.
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles, AI governance, security, and compliance considerations.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, and business workflows.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and deploying AI solutions on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Assess client business challenges and identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI and intelligent automation solutions.
• Design and implement AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Azure OpenAI Service, and Microsoft AI technologies.
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions integrating enterprise knowledge sources and vector databases.
• Develop AI Agents and Copilot experiences using Microsoft Copilot Studio and related technologies.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define AI use cases, business value, success metrics, and adoption strategies.
• Design prompts, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails to ensure responsible, secure, and reliable AI solutions.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deploy scalable AI solutions on Azure and integrate them with enterprise systems.
• Support demonstrations, proof of concepts (PoCs), MVPs, and client workshops showcasing Generative AI capabilities.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and contribute to innovation initiatives across the organization.
