Arabella in Tarragona, Spain, seeks a founding General Manager to lead the pre-opening and transition of Bonmont Resort, driving the project from vision to high-performing operation. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to deliver a premium international destination.

You will build the organization, set standards and guest-experience principles, oversee readiness across hotel, golf and facilities, and align stakeholders ahead of the 2027 opening.

Formación

• Experience leading an international hotel, resort, or comparable operation.
• Experience in hotel openings, pre-openings, or complex hospitality projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong commercial and financial orientation with operational rigor.
• Ability to build teams, establish standards and make sound decisions in evolving environments.
• Professional fluency in English; Spanish or other languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to be based in Tarragona and involved in pre-opening phase.

The Project:

Bonmont Resort is a new international destination currently in pre-opening phase in Tarragona, Spain. The project will combine a premium hotel, an international golf offering and complementary facilities, with a clear focus on international guests and the premium leisure market. The opening is planned for 2027.

The Role:

We are looking for the founding General Manager to lead the pre-opening and transition into operation of Bonmont Resort. This is an opportunity to join the project at a defining stage and help turn its vision into a fully integrated, high-performing resort operation. The role combines strategic perspective with a highly practical, hands‑on approach and requires the confidence to represent the project with ownership, brand partners and key stakeholders.

What you will do:

• Coordinate the overall pre-opening plan and the transition into operations, ensuring clear priorities, ownership and decision‑making across the project.
• Translate the project vision into an integrated operating model covering the hotel, golf and complementary facilities.
• Define, together with ownership and the Executive Committee, the organisational structure, leadership model and staffing priorities.
• Establish the service philosophy, operating standards and guest experience principles for an international premium destination.
• Coordinate operational readiness across departments, systems, processes, policies and opening plans.
• Build and lead a high‑performing Executive Committee and create a consistent leadership culture across the resort.
• Ensure alignment between operational readiness, financial performance, commercial priorities and the opening timeline.
• Represent Bonmont Resort with ownership, brand partners, advisors, authorities, local stakeholders and other key partners.

What we are looking for:

• Demonstrated experience leading an international hotel, resort or comparable hospitality operation.
• Experience in hotel openings, pre-openings, repositionings or complex hospitality projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders with different priorities.
• Strong commercial and financial orientation, combined with operational rigour and attention to detail.
• Ability to build teams, establish standards and make sound decisions in an evolving environment.
• Professional fluency in English; Spanish or other relevant languages would be an advantage.
• Willingness to be based in Tarragona and actively involved in the pre‑opening phase.
