NTU International is seeking a Non-Key Expert - Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Specialist to support the Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme – AESPP Boost. The expert will ensure inclusive participation, gender-responsive implementation and equitable access to opportunities across programme activities, with a focus on Africa-EU cooperation in the space sector.

• Master’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, development studies or related field.
• 8 years of professional experience in gender equality, social inclusion and/or inclusive development in international cooperation.
• At least 4 years designing and applying gender-responsive approaches in donor-funded programmes; familiarity with EU gender policy and Africa experience is a plus.

Non-Key Expert - Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Specialist

NTU International is preparing a proposal for the project “Support to the Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme - AESPP Boost.”

The programme aims to strengthen cooperation between Africa and the European Union in the space sector, supporting policy dialogue, institutional partnerships, knowledge exchange, innovation, private sector engagement and investment, while contributing to stronger and more sustainable African space ecosystems.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Non-Key Expert - Gender Equality & Social Inclusion Specialist to support the systematic integration of gender equality and social inclusion considerations across programme activities, ensuring inclusive participation, gender-responsive implementation and equitable access to opportunities generated through Africa-EU space cooperation.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• University degree at Master’s level in gender studies, social sciences, development studies, or a related field.
• Excellent command of English.
• Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be considered an asset.

Minimum General Professional Experience

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in gender equality, social inclusion and/or inclusive development in international cooperation.

Minimum Specific Professional Experience

• At least 4 years of professional experience designing and applying gender-responsive approaches in donor-funded programmes, including gender analysis, sex-disaggregated indicators, inclusive stakeholder participation, training and/or gender-responsive communication. Familiarity with EU external-action gender policy and experience in Africa are assets.
