Senior AI GenAI Data Scientist

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing Microsoft Cognitive Services, coupled with proficiency in Python and hands‑on experience with Generative AI (GenAI) and AI Classifier implementations. This role requires a unique blend of data science expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment of cognitive solutions.

As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you’ll have a chance to extend your knowledge & experience by working on interesting projects with the newest technologies and approaches. You’ll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and take part in digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and integrate Microsoft Cognitive Services into existing systems and applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including data scientists, software developers, and DevOps engineers, to design and deploy cognitive solutions.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications to support data processing and analysis.
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to derive actionable insights and improve cognitive service implementations.
• Assist in the deployment and monitoring of cognitive services in production environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Microsoft Cognitive Services, Generative AI, and AI Classifier technologies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders regarding cognitive service capabilities and best practices.
• Document processes, methodologies, and results to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in implementing Microsoft Cognitive Services.
• Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, data science methodologies, and AI Classifier implementations.
• Experience with Generative AI frameworks and tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
