Job summary

King is seeking a Game Engine Tools Developer in Barcelona to drive tooling and pipelines for our mobile casual games. You will shape tool design, collaborate with multiple game teams, and ensure high performance and reliability across Windows and OSX platforms.

You will work within Shared Tech to enable content creators, integrate feedback from end users, and help scale tooling for rapid game development. A strong emphasis on code quality and mentoring juniors is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python programming with high-quality standalone/web apps.
• Strong C++ experience for performance-critical software.
• Excellent testing, automation, and CI practices.
• Experience building tools used by multiple teams across games.
• Frontend skills with JS/TS and web frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Improve, innovate and maintain current tooling infrastructure and in-house editing toolset.
• Design, architect, maintain, test and implement tools at scale.
• Collaborate with current and future users of our tools to optimize workflows across games.
• Deliver high quality and well-structured code.
• Improve quality and performance inside our tools landscape.
• Share knowledge and best practices with peers and game teams.
• Drive tool adoption with stakeholders in game teams.
• Coach and mentor junior developers in architecture, patterns, or testing.
