Zusammenfassung

Carousel Studio is looking for an FX Artist to design and execute complex simulations in Houdini, including pyro, FLIP, and vellum, with a focus on procedural setups.

You will build tools (HDAs), optimize large datasets, and contribute LookDev and basic Nuke compositing to ensure plates meet supervision standards.

Experience with VEX/Python, Mantra or Karma, and real-time FX (Niagara in Unreal) is a plus; collaboration is encouraged across teams.

Qualifikationen

• Houdini expert with strong simulation experience.
• Proficiency in VEX; Python is highly valued for tooling.
• Solid physics understanding and digital replication skills.
• Rendering experience with Mantra or Karma.
• Basic compositing workflows in Nuke.

Aufgaben

• Create high-end dynamic simulations using Houdini (Pyro, FLIP, RBD, Vellum, Particles).
• Build HDA tools to streamline workflows for other artists.
• Manage large datasets and caches, ensuring scenes are optimized for rendering.
• Light and render FX elements for slap-comps to present to supervisors.
• Debug complex networks and troubleshoot simulation failures.
