Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst (E-Invoicing) for a 12-month freelance engagement. The role is 100% remote across Europe, sitting between Legal, Product and Engineering to translate country-specific e-invoicing rules into precise functional requirements for the platform.

The ideal candidate has hands-on e-invoicing and VAT compliance experience, plus proven skills in requirements gathering, process mapping and user story creation across multiple European jurisdictions.

Formación

• Hands-on experience in e-invoicing and EDI compliance projects.
• Strong understanding of VAT compliance and tax-related processes.
• Familiarity with PEPPOL, CTC, Clearance Models, or Digital Reporting Requirements.
• Proven experience in functional analysis and requirements gathering.
• Experience with process mapping and workflow design.
• Experience working across multiple European countries and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience producing functional specifications and user stories.

Responsabilidades

• Translate complex country-specific e-invoicing regulations into detailed functional requirements that can be implemented within the platform.
• Act as a bridge between Legal, Product and Engineering to ensure alignment of regulations with the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe to gather, refine and document business needs and functional specifications.

Our client operates a large-scale e-invoicing and B2B payments platform used by hotels, travel companies, suppliers, and restaurant groups across multiple countries, processing well over 100 million electronic transactions each year. They are one of the leading e-invoicing compliance providers in Europe, helping customers navigate evolving country-specific e-invoicing mandates and tax regulations.

They are now strengthening the Functional Analysis capability within their e-invoicing compliance team. This is a non-technical, non-development role. You will sit between Legal, Product, and Engineering, translating complex country-specific e-invoicing regulations into detailed functional requirements that can be implemented within the platform.

Key skills and Experience required
