Job summary

NN Digital Hub in Madrid seeks a skilled FullStack Engineer to modernise front-end applications, automate processes, and contribute to scalable front-end architectures across NN BU’s. You will collaborate with UX designers and engineers to deliver high-quality software, while promoting agile practices and knowledge transfer.

The role emphasizes frontend engineering with React, Node.js backend experience, and strong English communication within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building front-end with modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Proficient in React front-end development
• Backend experience with Node.js
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams
• Proficient with Git/Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices
• Excellent written and spoken English communication

FullStack Engineer

Your Impact as FullStack Engineer: What are you going to do

As a FullStack Engineer, you will have plenty of opportunities to help us take the needed steps to modernise our frontend applications, automate and improve on processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaboration with colleagues to build front-ends and applications for BU’s in the 10 countries where Nationale Nederlanden International is activeBesides building products, will also ensure the local teams are involved in the process and will be able to further develop the product and provide support when you leave.
• Knowledge transfer is a key element of the projects.
• Provide input to the architecture of the front-end solutions, with a focus on reuse in other BU’s (via the Inner-source way of working)
• Educate squad members and technical leads through training and individual support.
• Create a fluid, end-to-end vision for front ends through the organization
• Design, document, construct and deploy effective front-end architectures and applications

Who you are

• Experience in building high quality software forms the basis for collaboration with UX designers and engineers.
• Up to date knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript Engineering on the frontend (React preferred)
• Experience in software development as a Node.js backend engineer
• Experience in working with Agile scrum teams
• Take responsibility for feature development / project
• Experience in Git (Azure DevOps preferred, but not required)
• Experience in pipelines, package management and unit- and integration testing.
• CI/CD through Azure DevOps and Visual Studio.
• Written and verbal communications skills in English
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Experience with designing flexible components and delivering documentation, READMEs and Contribution Guidelines
