Allianz Technology is seeking a skilled Java backend engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable microservices within the NOVA/BiPRO Firmen Kraft team. You will collaborate with Sales and BI teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Join a cross-functional Agile environment, contribute to performance, security, and reliability, and work with modern tooling in a hybrid setup with international collaboration.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience integrating frontend and backend systems using RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Maven, Git, code reviews, and development with IntelliJ IDEA.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Ability to explain and justify technical decisions in a cross-functional Agile environment.
• Independent work with shared code ownership in a collaborative setup.
• Experience with AI-powered development workflows and cloud/container tooling is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, refactoring, and pull requests.
• Participate in workshops to clarify business requirements with users and stakeholders early and translate them into technical requirements.
• Support the PO and Business Analysts in translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Own end-to-end implementation of features including architectural design and alignment with the team.
• Take responsibility for production concerns such as performance, stability, security, monitoring and bug fixing.
• Build and maintain interfaces to other systems within the Allianz network.

The NOVA / BiPRO Firmen Kraft team

The NOVA / BiPRO Firmen Kraft team strives to develop innovative solutions for the commercial motor market. We focus on sales applications for the products commercial single‑use vehicles, small fleets, fleets, as well as Handel und Handwerk. In addition, we operate a commercial motor service route for our internal sales department and offer corresponding BiPRO interfaces for comparison tools.

You will

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, refactoring, and pull requests
• Participate in workshops to clarify business requirements with users and stakeholders early and translate them into technical requirements
• Support the PO and Business Analysts in translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Own E2E implementation of features including architectural design and alignment with the team
• Take responsibility for production concerns such as performance, stability, security, monitoring and bug fixing
• Build and maintain interfaces to other systems within the Allianz network
  

Your Skills

• 3+ years of experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot (including Spring MVC), and building scalable backend applications.
• Proven experience integrating frontend and backend systems using RESTful APIs and SOAP APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Maven, Git, code reviews, pull requests, and development with IntelliJ IDEA.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Ability to explain and justify technical decisions, balancing architecture, usability, maintainability, and delivery speed.
• Comfortable working independently with shared code ownership in a cross‑functional Agile environment.
• Experience with AI‑powered development workflows (e.g., Claude Code); familiarity with microservices, Apache Camel, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Spring Security, Dynatrace, and troubleshooting complex applications is a plus.
