Santander AI Lab in Madrid seeks an experienced Frontier Agentic AI Engineer to design and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems across a multi-country bank infrastructure. You will integrate cutting-edge tools, collaborate with researchers and stakeholders, and contribute to real-world banking innovations.

The role requires deep hands-on experience with multi-agent architectures, LLM fine-tuning for regulated use cases, and delivering end-to-end production solutions within agile iterations.

Formación

• 4–8 years of software/AI engineering experience, with 2+ years in production LLM-powered systems.
• Hands-on experience designing multi-agent AI systems with memory, stateful orchestration and failure recovery.
• Experience fine‑tuning language models for domain tasks, including dataset curation and eval design.
• Track record delivering complete systems from architecture to production code.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and integrating with cloud services.
• Prior banking/fintech experience in regulated environments.
• Exposure to Harness Engineering methodologies is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems with multi-agent orchestration and memory.
• Fine-tune small/medium language models for banking use cases and evaluate with domain benchmarks.
• Architect MCP servers, A2A protocols, and federated APIs for cross-country operation.
• Prototype ideas in two-week sprints with architecture, code and demos.
• Collaborate with researchers, data scientists and stakeholders to translate tech into bank value.
• Monitor emerging research/tools and integrate them if valuable.
• Deliver clean, observable code end-to-end.
