Rakuten TV, a leading European video streaming platform, is seeking a Frontend Manager in Barcelona to lead all client-facing engineering across B2B and B2C. You will manage ~10 frontend engineers across Mobile, Web and CTV, shaping architecture, roadmap, and quality standards.

You will collaborate with product, design and execs, own hiring and career development, and drive delivery across React-based platforms and streaming tech in a fast-growing environment.

Formación

• Experience leading multi-team frontend organizations and people managers.
• Deep knowledge of React in production environments.
• Experience with Smart TV app development.
• Strong understanding of video streaming concepts (HLS, DASH, DRM, ad integration).
• Ability to define and execute long-term technical roadmaps and balance delivery with architecture health.
• Comfortable presenting to stakeholders and executives.
• Strong hiring instincts and team-building abilities.
• Experience publishing apps across mobile and CTV storefronts.
• Background in streaming or media company.

Responsabilidades

• Own technical strategy, architecture, and delivery across all frontend platforms.
• Manage and grow a frontend engineering team across Mobile, CTVs, and Web.
• Report to CTO and advocate for frontend in leadership discussions.
• Drive roadmap alignment between product, design, and engineering.
• Define engineering standards, code quality, and testing strategy.
• Oversee hiring, performance reviews, and career development.
• Manage external vendor and platform relationships.
• Make final architecture and platform decisions.
