Rakuten TV in Barcelona is seeking a senior Front-end Engineer to join the TV app team. You will own end-to-end feature development for HTML5 TV applications, collaborating with QA, design and product to ship high-quality UIs that run on millions of devices every month.

The role requires 5+ years in JavaScript/React for TV environments, strong TypeScript skills, and experience with Storybook, monorepos, and video players.

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant experience as JavaScript developer with React in TVs environment.
• Experience with monorepo (pnpm).
• Experience creating and maintaining re-usable UI libraries (Storybook).
• Experience with focus navigation systems on TVs.
• Experience integrating a design system from Figma to the code base.
• Experience publishing packages using npm registry.
• Experience publishing and managing TV applications (Samsung Seller office, LG store, Google Play...).
• Experience with the HTML5 video player and other players (hls.js, Shaka Player and or Dash Player).
• Experience with Video Ad Serving Template (VAST).
• Performance rendering on low-end devices like TVs and STBs.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript and modern frontend tooling.
• Scrum/Agile experience and testing mindset.

Responsabilidades

• You will be part of the end-to-end lifecycle of features, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• You will be part of an experimented team of developers, QA engineers, designers and product owners.
• Your code will be executed by millions of customers every month.
• You will need to build and optimize UIs for TVs applications.
