Zumbach Electronic busca un ingeniero HMI frontend/full-stack para Barcelona. Diseñarás e implementarás HMIs web modernos para nuestra familia de productos industriales, con foco en rendimiento y configurabilidad, trabajando junto a ingenieros C++ y de sistemas.

Participarás en la construcción de dashboards, componentes configurables y la integración con APIs REST/WebSocket, manteniendo una UI intuitiva y segura en entornos industriales bajo metodologías ágiles.

Formación

• Experiencia en UIs web modernas con framework frontend contemporáneo.
• Experiencia en HMIs industriales, dashboards o sistemas hardware‑integrados.
• Comprensión de visualización en tiempo real y sincronización de estado.
• Diseño de sistemas UI modulares/configurables.
• Conocimientos de TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 y diseño responsivo.
• Contribución al backend (C++, REST/WebSocket APIs).
• Conocimientos de restricciones embebidas y arquitecturas IPC.
• Experiencia con Git, CI/CD, desarrollo ágil y DevOps.
• Inglés hablado y escrito muy bueno.

Responsabilidades

• Desarrollar HMIs web ligeras y de alto rendimiento usando TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Diseñar componentes UI configurables y flujos para dashboards.
• Construir dashboards en tiempo real para datos de medición y coordinación entre dispositivos.
• Contribuir al backend en C++ o servicios relacionados.
• Implementar comunicaciones con sistemas embebidos e IPC mediante WebSockets.
• Crear maquetas/prototipos UI (p. ej., Figma) para validar conceptos.
• Optimizar rendimiento de UI para hardware embebido.
• Trabajar en entornos ágiles y DevOps, CI/CD y Git.
• Mantener un diseño unificado y biblioteca de componentes.

To further develop and strengthen our development team in Barcelona (Spain), we are looking for a:

Front-end / full-stack HMI engineer (Embedded & Industrial Systems)

The Job

You will design and implement modern, web‑based HMIs for our industrial product family, spanning high‑speed embedded measurement devices and IPC‑class process systems. Beyond building dashboards, you will help shape a configurable and extensible HMI platform that allows users to create, adapt, and customize their own views and workflows. You will collaborate closely with C++ and systems engineers to deliver reliable, intuitive, and maintainable interfaces used in demanding industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop lightweight, high‑performance HMIs using modern web technologies (TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and a contemporary frontend framework)
• Design and implement configurable UI components and workflows that allow users to set up, customize, and extend dashboards and system views
• Build real‑time dashboards for measurement data, process calculations, and multi‑device coordination
• Contribute to backend development (C++ or related services) to support UI workflows and data models
• Implement efficient communication with embedded and IPC systems using WebSockets or similar protocols
• Create UI/UX mockups and prototypes (e.g., Figma) to validate concepts and workflows
• Optimize UI performance for embedded hardware and IPC‑class systems
• Work in an agile environment and contribute to DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and Git‑based development
• Help maintain a unified design system and reusable component library

Core technical skills

• Strong experience building modern web UIs with a contemporary frontend framework (e.g., Svelte, React, Vue, Angular)
• Background in industrial HMIs, dashboards, or hardware‑integrated systems
• Solid understanding of real‑time data visualization and state synchronization
• Experience designing configurable or modular UI systems (component composition, dynamic layouts, user‑driven configuration)
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
• Experience contributing to backend development (C++, REST/WebSocket APIs, or similar)
• Familiarity with embedded constraints and IPC‑level architectures
• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, agile development, and DevOps practices
• Very good spoken and written English for clear communication across teams and stakeholders

Industrial & Systems Expertise

• Experience with industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, ZeroMQ, or MQTT
• Background in embedded Linux or real‑time systems
• Knowledge of data visualization libraries for charts and real‑time plots
• Awareness of cybersecurity considerations for device‑hosted webservers
• Understanding of industrial HMI principles, including clarity, safety, and predictable operator workflows

• Skilled at creating clear, thoughtful UI/UX prototypes and design explorations
• Strong communicator who can explain design decisions objectively and convincingly
