Preply is seeking a Fraud Prevention Manager to lead our Fraud Operations team and own the function's strategy, operating with cross-functional partners in Product, Payments and Finance. You will design investigations, establish governance, and drive KPI improvements to protect a global marketplace.

Ideally you will bring 6–8+ years in fraud operations, a proven leadership record, and the ability to translate ground observations into concrete requirements for analytics and product teams.

Formación

• 6-8+ years in fraud operations, payments risk, or financial crime with people management experience.
• Proven track record leading fraud or risk ops in marketplace/fintech/e-commerce.
• Deep expertise in investigation, chargebacks, and detection workflows.
• Experience owning operational KPIs and translating data into priorities.
• Able to translate operational observations into requirements for Product and Data.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of Fraud Specialists with clear expectations and accountability.
• Own the Fraud Operations roadmap and align objectives with business goals.
• Design investigation standards, workflows, and escalation protocols across the team.
• Define, track, and improve Fraud Ops KPIs (chargeback rate, SLAs, false positives).
• Establish governance cadence with Finance and senior leadership.
• Translate on-ground observations into actionable requirements for Product and Data.
• Collaborate with Product, Payments, and Finance as the primary fraud authority.
• Plan workforce and capacity to ensure operational resilience.
• Present fraud performance and risk insights to senior leadership.
• Drive process improvements through root cause analysis and tooling evolution.
• Familiarity with ML-based fraud detection and related tooling is a plus.
