Flyboard is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join the Delivery team in Barcelona. You will implement technical components of customer deployments, collaborate with customer tech teams, and write production-grade Python code for AI voice agents and platform capabilities.

You will work closely with the Core Platform and Delivery teams, translating customer needs into scalable solutions while maintaining high reliability and clear documentation.

Formación

• Typically 2--5 years of relevant experience.

• Production Engineering: Write clean, maintainable Python code for customer implementations and reusable platform capabilities.
• API & Integration Development: Build and maintain integrations using APIs, webhooks, databases, and external systems.
• AI Agent Implementation: Configure and improve AI voice agents, including workflows, tools, prompts, integrations, and operations.
• Platform Contribution: Identify recurring requirements and turn them into scalable product capabilities with the Core Platform team.
• Deployment Reliability: Test, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve deployments for production reliability.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the technical link between Delivery, Platform Engineering, and customer teams.
• Technical Documentation: Document integrations, decisions, and reusable patterns.

Mission

As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will work at the intersection of our customers, Delivery team, and Core Platform engineering team.

Your mission is to ensure the technical success of our customer deployments: understanding technical requirements, building production integrations, configuring and improving AI agents, and translating recurring customer needs into platform improvements.

The Delivery team will lead the overall customer engagement, while you will own the technical execution. You will write production Python code, work directly with customer technical teams, and contribute to the platform that powers all our AI voice agents.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who combines strong technical ability with clear communication, structured thinking, and genuine interest in working with people. You will report directly to the Technical Co-Founder.

What You Will Do

• Technical Delivery: Implement the technical components of customer deployments, from initial technical definition through production launch and stabilization.


• Customer Collaboration: Work directly with technical stakeholders on the customer side to understand their systems, clarify requirements, explain technical trade-offs, and coordinate integrations.


• Production Engineering: Write clean, maintainable Python code for customer implementations and reusable platform capabilities.


• API & Integration Development: Build and maintain integrations using APIs, webhooks, databases, and external business systems.


• AI Agent Implementation: Configure and improve AI voice agents, including their workflows, tools, prompts, integrations, and operational behavior.


• Platform Contribution: Identify recurring requirements across customer deployments and work with the Core Platform team to turn them into scalable product capabilities.


• Deployment Reliability: Test, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve customer deployments to ensure they are stable and reliable in production.


• Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the technical link between Delivery, Platform Engineering, and customer technical teams, ensuring information and technical decisions flow clearly between them.


• Technical Documentation: Document integrations, implementation decisions, and reusable technical patterns to improve future deployments.

We are looking for a strong engineer who enjoys both building systems and working with people.

You will thrive in this role if you are comfortable moving between writing production code, investigating technical problems, discussing requirements with customers, and collaborating with internal teams.

• Comfort working across multiple projects and collaborating with engineering, delivery, and customer teams.


• Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.


• Practical experience using AI coding tools such as Codex, Cursor, or Claude Code.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, technology consultant, or in another customer-facing engineering role.


• Experience with voice AI, conversational agents, real-time audio, or telephony systems.


• Experience integrating LLM, speech-to-text, or text-to-speech providers.


• Experience designing prompts, tools, workflows, and evaluation processes for AI agents.


• AWS and CI/CD experience.


• Working knowledge of JavaScript and a modern frontend framework.


• Strong product judgment and the ability to distinguish between a customer-specific requirement and a reusable product capability.
