UNIVERSIDAD DE GRANADA is seeking a First Stage Researcher (R1) to contribute to the Fire-Tran project and pursue a doctoral dissertation. The role includes fieldwork across Mediterranean forests, data management, and collaboration with international partners.

English communication with collaborators and stakeholders is essential. The candidate will work on data analysis, protocol publishing, and potential pre-doctoral funding opportunities while aiming to advance forest restoration research

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field as required by the project
• Master’s degree in ecology or related field and training in statistical programming or remote sensing must be shown
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher (certificate) and willingness to pursue doctoral studies.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct fieldwork and operate scientific equipment
• Manage databases and perform data analyses
• Publish protocols and results
• Communicate with local stakeholders in English and with international collaborators
• Collaborate on development of a network of study sites and international teams
