Job summary

Altery is seeking an Agentic Product Engineer to join the FinCrime Engineering team, focusing on corporate onboarding and KYC. You will help move functionality to a cloud-native architecture, own technical decisions, and integrate with internal and external FinCrime providers.

The role emphasizes production readiness, automated testing, and observability. You’ll work with Python, AWS, and a serverless stack while gradually modernising legacy .NET services.

Qualifications

• Strong Python backend experience and solid software fundamentals.
• Experience in fintech or regulated financial services.
• Hands-on AWS experience with cloud-native/serverless architectures.
• Experience building APIs and production services with CI/CD and observability.
• Strong ownership and ability to review code/architecture pragmatically.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve KYC and corporate onboarding flows, including services in production.
• Migrate FinCrime functionality from legacy .NET to AWS-based services with architecture redesign.
• Integrate with internal systems and external KYC/FinCrime providers for identity verification and sanctions screening.
• Develop orchestration around onboarding processes with reliable data flows and audit traceability.
• Own quality and operations: automated tests, deployment, observability, troubleshooting, and improvements.
• Apply AI agents across the engineering lifecycle, combining output with business context.
