Piedmont Global, a Valencia-based data solutions company, seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to lead bookkeeping and financial operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with Spanish tax rules and international reporting standards. The role blends hands-on accounting with strategic finance oversight.

The position requires 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years in accounting/finance with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards and international reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee bookkeeping and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and mentor an accounting assistant; provide guidance and performance oversight.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable with timely processing.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
• Develop and implement internal financial controls to safeguard assets.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Support international financial operations and multi-currency transactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all bookkeeping and financial operations for the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
• Supervise and mentor an accounting assistant, providing guidance, task delegation, and performance oversight
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts on a regular basis
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Ensure compliance with local Spanish tax regulations as well as international financial reporting requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed
• Develop and implement internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning activities to support business decision-making
• Manage payroll processing and related compliance requirements
• Support international financial operations, including multi-currency transactions and cross-border reporting
• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations
• Maintain and organize financial records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
• Attend in-office meetings and collaborative sessions at the Valencia headquarters on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred
• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
• Experience with international financial operations and multi-currency accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Demonstrated experience managing or supervising accounting staff
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to work independently in a remote capacity while maintaining clear and consistent communication with the team
• Willingness and ability to travel to the Valencia, Spain office on an as-needed basis
• Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in English is strongly preferred
• Experience in the technology or data solutions industry is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
