UBQ.io is seeking a Finance Developer to build an internal web platform for portfolio management. You will own features end-to-end, from data queries and calculation logic to the user interface, joining finance and technology to deliver reliable tools.

Key responsibilities include designing platform features, implementing valuation/P&L logic, ensuring data reconciliation, and SQL optimisations on BigQuery. A strong finance background and Python expertise are required.

Qualificações

• Solid professional experience with Python, including building backend services or data applications.
• A good understanding of financial concepts: positions, P&L, NAV, exposure and cost basis.
• Comfort writing non-trivial SQL, ideally on BigQuery or another cloud warehouse.
• A strong eye for detail and a habit of testing and reconciling numbers until they're right.
• Clear communication, and the confidence to challenge and clarify requirements with finance teams.
• A MSc in Finance, or progress towards CFA/CAIA (Level I or above).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain platform features, including summary metrics, interactive tables and data visualisations.
• Translate financial methodologies such as valuation, P&L attribution, exposure and cost basis into backend logic.
• Ensure figures reconcile against source systems and reporting.
• Write and optimise SQL queries against the cloud data warehouse.
• Maintain fast and reliable platform through caching, perf tuning and robust error handling.
• Collaborate with finance and operations stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver improvements.
