BFF Bank spa in Madrid seeks a Finance, Planning & Data Analytics Specialist to drive data-driven decision-making, enhance reporting, automate processes and support strategic objectives.

You will combine financial analysis, business planning and BI-analytics to improve performance, develop dashboards, modelling and KPI monitoring.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in Big Data, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance or similar is a plus.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Knowledge of data analytics, BI, and process automation concepts.
• Knowledge of financial concepts, budgeting, and business planning.
• Experience with data visualization and BI tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.

It is the largest specialized finance operator in Italy, as well as a leader in Europe in managing and disposing of non-performing commercial credit claims against Public Administrations. The Group also leads in Italy in Securities Services and banking payment services.

Job Purpose

The Finance, Planning & Data Analytics Specialist supports the Finance, Administration, Planning & Control department by driving data-driven decision-making, enhancing reporting capabilities, automating processes, improving operational efficiency, and providing analytical insights to support business performance and strategic decision-making. The role combines financial analysis, business planning, data analytics, and process optimization to support strategic and operational objectives.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
• Monitor financial and operational performance against targets.
• Perform profitability, cost, portfolio, and business performance analysis.
• Prepare management reports and financial performance presentations.
• Contribute to business cases and strategic projects through quantitative analysis.

Operational Finance & Administrative Processes

• Support day-to-day finance and administrative activities to ensure smooth business operations.
• Manage and monitor payment processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal procedures.
• Process and control financial and operational transactions within company systems.
• Ensure accurate booking and processing of business transactions within internal systems and reporting platforms.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational incidents and data discrepancies.
• Support the development of predictive models and advanced analytics solutions to improve business decision-making.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for transactions and administrative processes.
• Contribute to the standardization and automation of operational and administrative workflows.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and business drivers.
• Develop dashboards and automated reporting solutions using BI tools.
• Transform complex data into actionable business insights.
• Support the definition and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Perform customer, portfolio, product, and market segmentation analysis.

Process Automation & Digital Transformation

• Identify opportunities to improve and automate finance and administrative processes.
• Develop automated workflows and reporting solutions to reduce manual activities.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement data-driven solutions.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives leveraging technology and analytics.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards.

Business Support & Strategic Analysis

• Support cross-functional projects involving finance, commercial, operations, and risk teams.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support management decision-making.
• Evaluate business opportunities through statistical and financial analysis.
• Assist in the implementation of new analytical tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's Degree in Big Data, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or similar is a plus.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Knowledge of data analytics, business intelligence, and process automation concepts.
• Knowledge of financial concepts, budgeting, and business planning.
• Experience with data visualization and Business Intelligence tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
• SQL and database management.
• Fundamental knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
• Process mining and automation tools (e.g., Celonis, Power Automate).
• ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Python for data analysis and automation.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of process optimization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong analytical thinking.
• Problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to translate technical findings into business recommendations.
