Job summary

Verdalia Bioenergy, backed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management, seeks a Group Finance Operations Manager to run accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and expenses across Spain, Italy and the UK. You will standardise processes and lead outsourced and internal teams.

Reporting to the Group Accounting & Reporting Director, you will own end-to-end PTP and automated RTR routines, implement Spain's e-invoicing mandate, and drive the automation roadmap with IT and our partner, using NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Information Systems.
• 6+ years in finance operations or finance systems, including at least 2 leading a team with outsourced providers.
• Hands-on ownership of PTP and automated RTR routines in a multi-entity, multi-country group.
• Advanced NetSuite skills and the ability to automate yourself (SuiteQL/SQL, Python, AI tools).
• Working knowledge of VAT and e-invoicing: Italian SDI, Spanish SII, Ley Crea y Crece and Verifactu.
• Fluent Spanish and a good command of English. Professional Italian is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Own accounts payable end to end, from Italian SDI e-invoices and OCR intake to PO matching and exception handling.
• Own customer invoicing for energy, biomethane and guarantee-of-origin sales, plus cash application and collections follow-up.
• Post payroll and employee expenses for all entities, and turn recurring journals into templates and scheduled entries.
• Keep bank reconciliation clean, resolving exceptions and agreeing new automation rules with Treasury.
• Lead the automation roadmap with IT and our implementation partner, measuring the hours released.
• Implement mandatory e-invoicing in Spain (Ley Crea y Crece, Verifactu) and the SII process from NetSuite.
• Lead and develop the team, moving it from manual processing to exception management.

YOUR IMPACT

As Group Finance Operations Manager, you'll run the transactional engine of our finance function across Spain, Italy and the UK: accounts payable and receivable, payroll and expenses, bank reconciliation, master data and automation.

Reporting to the Group Accounting & Reporting Director, your mandate is clear: make these flows fast, standardised and largely automated, so the group can keep growing without adding headcount. You'll lead outsourced and internal teams, working closely with Treasury, Procurement, Controlling and IT.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
