What you'll be doing
The role We are seeking a Finance Manager who can take full ownership of our international finance operations. You will be responsible for building a robust, data-driven finance department with highly automated processes that ensures compliance, transparency, and timely reporting across our group structure. This hands-on role requires both operational execution (payroll, invoicing, reporting) and strategic insight (financial analyses and modeling, decision support). You will initially be the main finance owner, working closely with our auditors, tax advisors, and outsourced bookkeeping in Germany and Spain.
Key responsibilities
- Financial Operations & Controlling
- Take over all day-to-day finance operations currently run by the General Manager (invoicing of customers and intercompany invoicing, reminder management, payroll coordination, expense management, treasury, banking).
- Manage intercompany liquidity flows: loans between parent and subsidiaries, intra-group settlements.
- Supervise monthly/quarterly closings and reconciliations with auditors in Germany (HGB/IFRS) and Spain.
- Ensure compliance with German HGB, IFRS, and Spanish GAAP.
- Reporting & Decision Support
- Establish a monthly financial reporting package (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital, intercompany positions).
- Provide short-term decision support for management: scenario modeling, liquidity forecasting, and investment planning.
- Build reliable KPI dashboards for management (e.g., per client/project, per entity, group consolidation).
- Systems & Process Improvement
- Reduce reliance on Excel by introducing contemporary finance tools (e.g., NetSuite, LucaNet, Anaplan, Oracle Fusion, or Personio Finance integrations).
- Automate invoice generation, payroll feeds, and expense management (e.g., Spendesk, SAP Concur, Pleo).
- Implement group consolidation and financial planning tools to replace manual spreadsheets.
- Treasury & Banking
- Manage banking relationships in Spain and Germany.
- Oversee intercompany transfers and cash pooling.
- Tax & Compliance
- Coordinate with German and Spanish tax advisors (CERTUS in Spain, German auditor/tax consultant) for filings, audits, and compliance.
- Ensure timely VAT, corporate tax, and statutory reporting across all entities.
- Team Leadership (future)
- Build a scalable finance function, initially by taking ownership yourself, later by hiring and managing a small team (payroll, AP/AR, reporting).
What you'll bring
- 7+ years of finance management experience in an international SME or mid-sized group (10–50M turnover).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, German HGB, and Spanish accounting systems.
- Proven experience with group consolidation, intercompany loans, and multi-entity structures.
- Experienced in financial reporting and modeling beyond Excel (ERP/FP&A tools).
- Hands-on with invoicing, payroll, and treasury – willing to roll up sleeves in a lean setup.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, German strongly preferred.
- Based in Spain (ideally Málaga) or willing to relocate.
What we offer
- Being part of dynamic and highly motivated international multicultural team of skilled professionals.
- Competitive compensation package.
- Flexible working model: You can choose the work model that fits your lifestyle (At office, hybrid or full remote).
- 23 holiday days.
- Flexible schedules
- DKV private health insurance from day 1.
- Gym Sponsorship.
- English and German language classes.
- A young and ambitious team that knows when to work but also when to have fun (Pizza day, Summer event, Padel Tournaments, etc).
