Job summary

MAXAM in Madrid is seeking a Finance Controlling specialist to join the Finance Department. You will lead the planning, execution, and control of financial processes supporting mining projects, with focus on profitability, on-time delivery, and operational excellence.

The role requires 5-6 years’ experience in Big Four, strong FP&A, advanced Excel, and English proficiency; PowerBI is a plus. You will prepare monthly reporting and conduct balance sheet analyses for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years’ experience in Big Four
• High level of English is required
• Strong FP&A focus and financial analysis
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with PowerPoint presentations; PowerBI is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and control of mining projects in Africa to ensure profitability, on-time delivery and operational excellence
• Elaborate and analyze the Group’s monthly financial reporting (Sales/EBITDA, gross margin, working capital & overdues)
• Monitor Free Cash Flow in cooperation with Treasury
• Analyze balance sheet and identify efficiencies in fixed assets, inventories, provisions and working capital
• Prepare financial presentations for the Board, financial institutions and investors
• Support in group projects (business plans, mergers, divestments and capitalizations)
