A global renewable energy operator in Madrid is seeking a Financial Controller with at least 3 years of experience in financial reporting, ideally from the energy sector. The candidate must have Big 4 experience and strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting. This role offers a competitive salary and a dynamic work environment.

We specialize in providing integrated solutions across the entire lifecycle of clean energy, from the promotion, development, and construction of wind farms, photovoltaic plants, and hydroelectric power stations to their operation, maintenance, and the sale of the generated clean energy. Based in the HQs in Madrid, the 3 to 5 years’ experience Financial Controller, and experience in Big4, will provide support with direct reporting to the company's Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He / she will offer financial assistance addressing the Company's needs regarding compliance with specific obligations related to business development and management, compliance, and reporting according to the guidelines of the Financial Department and applicable legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Will be responsible for the analytical closing (balance sheet, profit and loss and deviations) of certain projects and Countries.
  • Budgeting and forecasting with daily communication to the specific Countries
  • Preparation of cash flows, calculation and accounting of provisions
  • Project accounting supervision
  • Node control and management
  • Ad hoc financial reporting
  • Support for the development of organisational initiatives and procedures
  • Supporting the audit processes of Group companies
  • Additional tasks as required
Requirements
  • Required education: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field.
  • Required professional experience: 3 years’ experience with financial reporting, preferably in the energy sector or similar. Big 4 experience is a MUST.
  • Required knowledge: expert knowledge of planning, controls, and finance.
  • Other requirements: English proficiency is a Must
  • Technology: Suite O365 Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools (Excel) and SAP (FiCo) are highly valuable.
