• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience with a controller/senior role.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong ERP and Excel proficiency; leadership experience.
• Remote management of distributed teams; process improvements.
• Bachelor's/Master's in relevant field; CPA/ACCA preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and payroll.
• Ensure monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements meet Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies to strengthen controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
• Mentor the accounting team and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure tax compliance and provide strategic financial insights.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Coordinate and support external audits.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support business decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a significant portion in a controller or senior accounting management role.
• Proven experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Expertise in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience working in a fully remote environment and managing distributed teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement financial controls.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.
