Job summary

ABB in Zaragoza, Spain seeks a Service Repair Technician to repair breakers and subassemblies under supervision of the Service Workshop Manager and Team Lead, contributing to the Electrification Service Area.

You will perform workshop tasks, troubleshoot, and ensure accurate documentation while focusing on safety and first-time-right service, delivering high-quality outcomes for data center clients.

Qualifications

• FP in Electricity, Electronics or Electromechanics.
• +2 years in a similar role as electrical technician.
• Able to work in a team; autonomous and resilient; collaborative.
• Basic English for handling technical documentation.
• Proficient with Windows and diagnostic tools.
• Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform workshop tasks such as troubleshooting, repairs, assembly, and testing.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing workshop orders per processes.
• Proactively working with a first-time-right approach and urgency.
• Check BOMs and documents to identify required parts for service.
• Ensure completion and maintenance of all required documentation.
• Identify improvements and propose solutions; drive small actions.
• Apply safety rules and environmental responsibilities.

Service Team Leader

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Under the supervision of the Service Workshop Manager, and daily work direction of the Team Lead, the Service Repair Technician repairs a variety of breakers and subassemblies, ensuring the best possible, most cost-effective problem resolution, and assists in identifying and resolving quality and reliability problems, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Service Area in Villanueva de Gállego, Zaragoza. Main stakeholders are Data center’s clients and Service team.

• Performing workshop tasks such as troubleshooting, repairs, assembly, and testing.


• Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing workshop orders according to workshop processes and guidelines.


• Proactively executing work on a first-time right approach and acting with sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility.


• Checking bill of materials and other documents to identify required parts needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available.


• Ensuring the completion, processing, and maintenance of all required documentation.


• Identifying improvement needs and potential solutions for them in the way of working, communicating them proactively and driving small improvement actions.


• Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities; reporting unsafe practices and incidents.

Qualifications for the Role

• Intermediate or Higher vocational training (FP) in Electricity, Electronics, Electromechanics, etc.


• +2 years of experience in similar role, working as electrical technician. Good electrical and mechanical capabilities will be valuable.


• Dedication, commitment and ability to work in a team. Good social skills, ability to work autonomously and be resilient. A collaborative, solution-focused approach and team work oriented.


• Basic level of English: especially for the handling of technical documentation at the written level.


• Office skills (Windows, Office suite, diagnostic tools, etc.)


• Driver’s license
