A leading analytical instrumentation company is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Madrid. Responsibilities include providing after-sales support, conducting installations, and customer training. Formación

Overview

Job title: Field Service Technician - Soporte Servicio Tecnico

Location - Madrid, Spain - office based

About the role

Field Service Technician will provide after-sales customer support (technical and commercial), Installations and technical visits national and international, customer training and technical support for the production area. Spanish is a must.

What you will bring to the role

The field service technician will be responsible for the below but not limited to:

  • Provide technical support to the production department when required.
  • Provide after-sale support to customers
  • Customer training.
  • Carry out installations and start-ups of our equipments
  • Carry out preventive or corrective maintenance visits.
  • Execute spare parts supply projects and technical visits.
  • Prepare quotes for spare parts, technical visits, and updates for serial equipment (FR, BTA, and ICCS).
  • Support the sales network and technical service personnel throughout the group.
  • Assemble and disassemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components for documentation and recording.
  • Drafting of procedures and/or work instructions on problem diagnosis, equipment adjustment, or component installation.
  • Maintaining and updating documentation (templates, records, lists, and manual s) related to project execution and control.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
  • Job duties must be performed accurately, methodically, completely, and efficiently in accordance with specifications, following procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in the workplace.
  • Training of new recruits.
  • Six-monthly monitoring of compliance with indicators associated with the Quality System.
  • Proper segregation of generated waste
  • Comply with the company´s applicable Health and Safety measures
About you
  • Fluent/Native in Spanish
  • Diploma, Vocational training in chemistry, electromechanics, electrical engineering, electronics, and/or automation. A lower level of qualification will be accepted provided that the candidate can demonstrate experience in electrical and electronic assembly, or experience in PID projects.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position in production processes.
  • Some knowledge in electrica and electronics, , among others. Some knowledge in Navision is a plus
  • English – B2 or C1 level (written, read, and spoken). - another language is a plus
  • Ability to maintain productivity and efficiency under challenging work conditions, such as high workload, tight deadlines, or both.
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and control systems.
  • Familiarity with catalyst characterization equipment.
  • Ability to design reactors and microreactors.
