GE Healthcare is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and maintain medical equipment across customer sites in Catalonia, Spain. This role covers preventive and remedial maintenance, system inspections, and ensuring quality in line with ISO 9001 and GE Service Quality Policy.

The candidate should have a degree in Electronics, Electromechanics or Biomedical Engineering (or solid field experience), with electromedicine/imaging exposure, strong problem-solving, planning abilities, and

• Degree or solid experience as Field Service Engineer.
• Experience in electromedicine or imaging in healthcare.
• Strong problem-solving approach to complex issues.
• Ability to plan and organize work with minimal direction.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain all models specific to a modality in the assigned area.
• Perform total system level trouble-shooting on complex multi-symptom problems.
• Communicate clearly with end-users and department managers on equipment status; maintain customer satisfaction.
• Assist in Account Sales visits, train others, and identify sales opportunities; communicate to account team.
• Assist in growth and direction of business in geographic area.
• Responsible for Warranty and PMS contract cost control.
• Complete administration tasks on time (FMI’s and PMS inspections documentation).
• Lead in complex and multifunctional rooms.
• Share best practices.
• Maintain ISO 9001 compliant quality systems and programs as per GE Service Quality Policy.

All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain all models specific to a modality in the assigned area.


• Perform total system level trouble-shooting on complex multi-symptom problems.


• Communicate clearly with end-users and department managers on equipment status; maintain customer satisfaction.

• Responsibly complete all administration tasks on time (e.g., ensure timely completion of FMI’s and PMS inspections documentation for assigned accounts).


• Play a leading role in complex and multifunctional rooms.

• Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.

Required Qualifications

• A diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanics or Biomedical Engineering Technology, or solid experience as Field Service Engineer


• Experience in electromedicine or imaging (healthcare sector).


• Good technical skills with a systematic and thorough approach to problem solving


• The ability to plan and organize your work own effectively, and to work with minimal direction


• Excellent interpersonal, listening and customer service skills – you can deal with differences of opinion tactfully and effectively, and you influence rather than direct


• Good knowledge of English language to properly play the information, successfully attend training courses and allow fluent communication in this language
