Varian Medical Systems in Málaga is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and maintain complex Varian products. You will support customers with on-site and remote assistance, manage installations and upgrades, and travel for training and service visits.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, fluency in Spanish and English, and strong IT and troubleshooting skills. Expect travel up to 3 nights per month and a commitment to safety and ongoing learning.

Formación

• Graduate or Bachelor of Technical Institute in electronics, electrical/biomedical engineering, related fields, or equivalent education.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in complex equipment, with proficient use of testing equipment.
• Sound knowledge of and professional technical experience with IT equipment and network basic troubleshooting.
• Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication and building solid trustful relationships.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Willing to work normal and non-normal hours as required to support the customers and to travel frequently with an estimation of 3 nights away from home per month.

Responsabilidades

• Service and maintain complex Varian products according to technical documentation and training provided.
• Continuous focus on customers, minimizing equipment downtime and enhancing performance.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through emphatic written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Provide phone support / remote assistance to customers and to the Field Engineer as required.
• Autonomously manage time and schedule preventive maintenance, installations and upgrades, and incoming customer calls.
• Input detailed records of service visits into company information systems, including technical problems, actions taken, and parts employed.
• Initial training period includes training at Las Vegas (USA) and Bern (Switzerland) facilities for a few weeks, then ongoing updates to publications and procedures.
• Maintain a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness according to guidelines.
