A leading global technology company seeks a Field Service Coordinator SLS West Europe to manage service engineers and back-office activities. This role requires a proactive approach, flexibility to support teams, and experience with tools like Salesforce and SAP. Knowledge of Italian is a plus. The position is mainly based in Spain, with limited travel expected.

We are now looking for a

Field Service Coordinator SLS West Europe

to join our team working for a better future.

The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Spain, but also Italy & Greece are possible locations.

What will you be doing

The Field Service Coordinator SLS West Europe is part of the team that primarily coordinates the service engineers whilst also managing the many varied back‑office activities in our FS Team 1, which covers our customers in Western Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking ownership from the job booking stage and organising the attendance of FS Engineers, managing the internal and external stakeholders from inception of the jobs through to final invoice and closure of the activities.

This position will report to the Team 1 FS manager.

As Field Service Coordinator SLS West Europe your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • The co‑ordination of work from 'engineer request' and throughout the resulting job / work orders
  • Creating job packs for Field Service Engineers
  • Creating service orders in Salesforce & SAP
  • Ensuring 'planning board' is updated with live current data
  • Ensuring all information regarding dockings / jobs are received and filed correctly
  • Credits & Debits processes
  • Invoicing & billing
  • Managing weekly timesheets from FSE's & wages to ensure internal finance & payroll teams have correct information on time for salary payment deadlines
  • Managing CAT 2 Field Service engineering hours updated information to various internal reporting tools
  • Handling reworks and claims
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
  • Follow jobs/work orders from start to finish
  • Recognise and push sales opportunities to Account Managers where possible.
  • Assist the Global Field Service / Sales Support / Sales managers when required.
  • Be comfortable in arranging bonding jig loans to customers / other Wartsila network companies and approved partners as required.
  • Ensuring Field Service equipment cupboard is fulfilled/updated
  • Have a logical and ordered approach to FS tools management, ensuring equipment calibration is up to date ensuring Quality processes are adhered to.
  • The flexibility to assist FS engineers and colleagues as required
  • Italian language knowledge would be an advantage

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
