Job summary

MCC is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer to support customers and channel partners in the Americas, with emphasis on Discrete semiconductor products. The role involves working with distributors, performing design-wins, and enabling sales through technical trainings and tooling.

The candidate will engage with R&D and product marketing on new product needs, travel up to ~40%, and require strong English communication and a background in power electronics.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSEE/BSME or equivalent of 4+ years of hands‑on experience in semiconductor solutions with focus on power management.
• 4+ years design or applications engineering experience in semiconductor products and technology.
• Sound experience in technology sales.
• Adequate years of experience in the field of power electronics.
• Understanding of the semiconductor industry market forces and dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Work with MCC distribution partner and customers technical team to achieve design-wins and increase account penetration.
• Special focus on SiC (Diodes/MOSFETs) and IGBT products.
• Support the development of tools for sales promotion such as application kits or test boards and support reference designs with IC partners.
• Develop and drive strategic technical plans by customer solution (presentations and trainings).
• Support sales in identifying opportunities by maintaining relationships with customer’s technical team.
• Interface with R&D and Product Marketing on new product definitions and technology requirements.
• Collect and summarize market intelligence and feedback to product teams.
• Collaborate with regional/global teams to achieve tasks and attend strategic region meetings.

MCC has extensive experience in the manufacturing and delivery of high-quality semiconductors products, We are looking for an experienced Field Application Engineer (FAE) in Guadalajara. The FAE will be responsible for the technical support of our customers and Channel partners in Americas region, with a clear focus on Discrete Semiconductor products (Diodes, MOSFETs, BJTs, IGBTs, SiC Technology, TVS & ESD protection Diodes)

Responsibility:

• Work with MCC distribution partner and customers technical team to achieve design-win´s and increase account penetration.
• Special focus on SiC (Diodes/MOSFETs) and IGBT products.
• Support the development of tools for sales promotion such as application kits or test boards, work with ICs partners on Ref. designs and support the creation of valuable content for promotion activities.
• Develop and drive strategic technical plans by customer solution (prepare customer presentations and product/application trainings).
• Support the sales teams in identifying new opportunities by maintaining excellent relationships with customer’s technical team.
• Interface with R&D and Product Marketing on new product definition and technology requirements.
• Collect and summarize market intelligence information and provide feedback to the respective product team.
• Develop and drive strategic technical plans by customer solution (prepare customer presentations and product/application trainings).
• Work with a team regionally or globally to achieve assigned tasks and objectives.
• Attend and actively participate in strategic region meetings.

What you will bring:

• Education Background/ Major: Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in microelectronics, applied physics, electronic science and technology, or related fields.
• Experience(Must): Minimum BSEE/BSME or equivalent of 4 years+ of hands‑on experience across major components of semiconductor solutions with focus on power management.
• 4 years+ design or applications engineering experience semiconductor products and technology.
• Sound experience in technology sales
• Adequate years of experience in the field of power electronics.
• Knowledge(Must): Understanding of the semiconductor industry market forces and dynamics.
• Good understanding of different types of power semiconductors (IGBT, MOSFET, Diodes) and experience in selection of devices for different applications.
• Excellent flexibility, motivation, and networking.
• Negotiation skills with customers facing technical challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and activities at one time.
• Approximate 40% travel required. Amount of travel will vary based on where candidate resides.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, including through listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
