Job summary

Novanta is seeking a skilled Field Applications Engineer to join our Robotics & Automation team. You will be a trusted technical advisor to customers, enabling design wins by applying servo drives and motion technologies in mission-critical systems.

You will collaborate with sales, product management and distributors to deliver system-level guidance, develop demos, and provide in-depth technical training. Travel up to 30% (EMEA) is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electronics, Telecommunication, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in design engineering, applications engineering or high-tech sales support.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%, across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to customers, accelerating implementation and time to market.
• Visit key customers with territory managers and provide system-level application guidance.
• Collaborate with product managers to understand features and offer usability improvements.
• Develop customer-facing demos for sales enablement and industry events.

(B.S. in Electronics/Telecommunication/Industrial Engineering or any related engineering studies)3+ years of experience in design engineering, applications engineering, high technology sales support, or field serviceBe able to communicate technical information to non-technical customers, partners and internal colleagues.Be results-driven and customer-focused, self-motivated and able to work well in a team.High level of English language.Travel RequirementsMust possess a valid passport and be able to travel around the world (mostly in EMEA), if required.
