Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra Mallorca is seeking an experienced F&B Captain to lead a designated service area and ensure flawless guest experiences aligned with Mandarin Oriental values.

You will manage service standards, guide the team on menus and beverages, and maintain immaculate mise en place and guest relations across shifts, contributing to memorable dining journeys on the island.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proven leadership in luxury hospitality.
• Experience overseeing a service area and delivering high standards.

• Assist supervisors by completing daily checklists and maintaining service standards.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, as Restaurant Captain you will be responsible for overseeing a designated service area, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, and an exceptional guest experience in line with Mandarin Oriental values.

As F&B Captain, you will beresponsiblefor the following duties:

• Oversee a designated section, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming guest experience.
• Support supervisors by completing daily checklists and maintaining service standards.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the outlet’s concept, menu, and beverages, confidently guiding and advising guests.
• Ensure mise en place and cleanliness standards are consistently met before and during service.
• Operate the POS system efficiently, including order processing, billing, and non-cash payments.
• Deliver attentive, friendly, and personalized service by anticipating and understanding guest needs.
• Upsell food, beverages, and experiences in a natural and service-oriented manner to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies, and special requests clearly to kitchen and management teams, supporting seamless operations.

As F&B Captain, weexpect you:

Experience and education

• Degree in Hospitality Management or similar.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience leading teams within Food & Beverage, ideally in a luxury hospitality environment.

Technical Skills

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• A genuine passion for guest interaction, with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver personalized service.
• A visible and confident presence on the floor, leading by example during service.
• A warm, friendly, and professional attitude, with a natural ability to create memorable moments.
